Curse you, Perry the Platypus!

If loving Phineas & Ferb is wrong,
I don't want to be right.

There are so many things to love about it:

-The songs

-The way Doofenshmirtz always calls him Perry the Platypus and never just Perry

-Anything Ferb says

"Skiddley Whiffers is a cruel mistress: cold and unforgiving."

-The lines that are the same every episode

-The hope I hold out that one day Perry will talk

I mean, if he's anthropomorphic, why doesn't he talk?

-Doofenshmirtz' life story

etc., etc., etc.

I. Love. It.

Ultimate Irony.

Once upon a time,

two of my very best friends got engaged

to each other!

And I got to be there!

But the ultimate irony of my life?

I was standing five feet away when it happened

with my back turned,

talking about waterfalls,

and I missed it!

Literally, I had no idea it was happening

until it was already over.

Alanis should probably write another verse to her song.

Congratulations Lizzie & Clark!
I love you!

Baby Dino.

This post is about toilets, but don't get alarmed.
.
.
.
.
You know toilets that flush automatically?

Next time you use one,
listen.

Just before the water rushes into the bowl,
the flushing mechanism makes a sound like

a baby dinosaur
waking up from a nap.

Some have asked how I know what a baby dinosaur waking up from a nap sounds like.

When you hear the toilet, you'll know.

Academics.

I seriously had the best professors during Spring term.

Brother Seely

made me love the Old Testament.

And is that even possible?

He told us stories that made him look bad,
and that made him look better.

Dr. Hallen

made me read slower and think more.

She gave me mercy when I didn't deserve it at all.

Brother Minert

said I was a fine young lady.

He brought our class homemade cookies twice.

It wasn't just Old Testament, philology, and family history that I learned this semester.

Speak, Muse.

More people should blog.

More people should blog more often.

Everyone interesting should have a blog.

I wish there was an unlimited supply of interesting new blog posts every time I wanted.

So, yeah.

Get to it, folks.

What Matters Most

Today, I noticed something about life that's rather cliche.

You've probably already realized it.

You can tell what's important to people
by what they spend their time on.

And when push comes to shove
and the rubber hits the road,
and it's time to step up to the plate
(and every other cliche),

I've made my decision.

"What is most important almost always involves
the people around us."
Thomas S. Monson
